Eggtraordinary work this month

hello everybody ,Tina here, and I thought we could have a quick roundup of this Octobers meeting, starting with a photo of one of the pieces of seaside pebbles work  that was brought in for us all to see, made at the workshop we did last month with Annette, isn't it gorgeous.

This month most of us did the pod workshop with Wendy

as we began the egg challenge ,  Im really excited about this, there are so many possibilities , so many of you have some great ideas.

I think these pods are really super,
I will definitely be making some of these to hold small Christmas gifts.
I took quite a few photos this month and I will be putting the rest  onto an album page
but I had to put this absolutely marvellous little cradle on here because it impressed me so much.

MESSAGE FROM CHAIRMAN KATE
October  5th 2014

Looking forward to the EGG challenge on Tuesday with Wendy assisted by members of the committee. We have some polystyrene eggs to decorate, some members are using duck eggs, or you can use blown hen's eggs; these can all be decorated with paint, découpage, fabric, braid, etc., and you can make papier-maché eggs.  Alternatively, you can stitch a 2D egg on fabric - templates and some aida canvas will be available, but remember to bring needles and whatever threads you have, and an alternative fabric if you wish to use it. And, of course, lots of personal inspiration. Wendy will let us have a list of specialist requirements before the day.
For those of you who were lucky enough to take part in Mary Sleigh's workshop last month, Delia Bowerbank at the Westgate Craft Shop in Grantham now has some scrim for further experimentation, and of course, we should all like to see what you produced.
Looking forward to Tuesday's workshop.'
