Mini workshop making Silk Corsages designed to use scraps of antique, vintage and precious fabrics.

Heather will be supplying kits. We will have time to make one flower, the kit included a piece of silk fabric and all you will need to bring is your usual sewing kit to include some strong thread any colour. If you plan to make more than one flower bring some of your own fabric to use. 

If members bring their own fabric to make an extra rose, it needs to be a length that they can cut on the slight bias, about 58/60 cm in length, and 10cm in width. Then a further piece that is the stem binding, 3cm in width, which can be cut from the same fabric so is also on the bias.

£3 meeting fee (£5 for visitors) will cover the cost of the kit for the workshop and there is no need to book.

Heather may be bringing some kits containing a piece of vintage fabric at an extra cost of £3 to £5 depending on fabric .
